Kossuth/Palo Alto County Economic Development Corporation and Ag Committee host Successful ‘Ag Education Day’ Event

 

Kossuth/Palo Alto County Economic Development Corporation, along with the Ag Committee and area ag-related businesses, held an Ag Education Day on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Wild Rose Casino in Emmetsburg. Over 140 people attended this year's event.  Maureen Elbert, Executive Director, said “We want to give a special thank you to all of our sponsors for their generous financial support for the event.  Thanks to their financial support, our Ag Committee is able to host Ag Education Day.”

The speakers covered topics on how farmers can save money and maximize their return on investment, weather outlook and yield potential, understanding the difference between generations and what they bring working together, and important economic indicators for the farm sector. Guest speakers included:
